The 1969 Chevelle SS Tail Pipe Hanger was our very first hanger reproduction. Its origin stems from the misinformation the aftermarket companies give on tail hangers for the 1969 and 1970 - 72 Chevelle SS tail pipe hangers. The hangers the aftermarket companies offer for 1969 and 1970 - 72 Chevelle SS kits are actually Chevelle small block tail hangers. The original hangers and our reproductions accomplish three purposes: they hang the tail pipe, clamp the extension to the tail pipe and provide the proper clearance below the bumper. The only place to get these correct hangers is to be fortunate enough to find NOS or to purchase a set from us. The hangers come as a pair pretapped with the correct u-bolt and shoulder nuts. They can be purchased in unconditioned steel or for the concours car, zinc plated.
