Sometimes on a restoration you find a part that is not exactly necessary for functionality of the product but definitely needed for the originality. Such is the case with the above reproduction. This is a GM A Body Hanger Retainer it was used on the GM A Bodys and functioned like a washer. The GM A Body front exhaust hanger screws went through this retainer then through the hanger and finally into the chassis. Any concours restoration is not complete without them.
