1971-72 Mopar B – Body 440 Muscle Car Exhaust Systems

1971-72 440 Exhaust System

Our 1971-72 440 B-body Exhaust System comes with the correct 2 1 /2″ front pipes with correct flats on the top and bottom. This system also includes the correct welded on flanges. The front pipes are necked down to 2 1/4″ where the head pipes go in the mufflers. The mufflers provided are the correct B-body mufflers with the correct flat on the side for underbody clearance The tail pipes on the 440 cars came 2 ways the non decor tail pipes were a 2 1/4″ tail pipe with a turn down at the bumper. The decor pkg. tail pipes were also 2 1/4″ but these tail pipes made use of an exhaust tip. This tip was the coolest of any of the the muscle car exhaust systems tips These tips were referred to as machine gun tips they were chrome tips with a slotted exterior and red interior giving the appearance of a working machine gun. Our decor tail pipes are slit as original for clamping purposes. As with all of our systems this exhaust system as been painstakingly reproduced from original components and can come with all the hardware for easy installation.

1966- 1970 Mopar B - Body Muffler Hangers

Although this hanger is not our reproduction we do offer a very similar hanger that comes as part of our kit along with the correct u - nut and screwt. This hanger is a dead on ringer to the original piece that outfitted these cars and is an option with any of our 1966 - 1969 426 or 440 exhaust systems

1967-72 Mopar 2 1/4" Clamp

This is the correct clamp for the 1967-1972 Mopars. These clamps have not been available for a very long time but after acquiring an original we have reproduced this unique clamp to be as original.

2 1/4" Q-Clamp

These are the correct clamps for the 1971-72 B-bodies. They were used to attach the chrome tips to the tail pipes. They are a Gardner Exhaust Exclusive reproduction and are available with any of our 1971-72 B-Body exhaust systems.

Sealant

Sealant like the one pictured here. After analyzing original samples off our pipes and searching incessantly we came up with a match with the sealant pictured here. This sealant comes as part of any Gardner Exhaust Kit
